Call for Submissions for 2026-27 Season
Deadline November 30, 2025
Theatre Kent is now accepting show proposals for our 2026-2027 season from interested directors.
Criteria
- Submissions are limited to a maximum of three plays per director.
- For our 48th season, we are interested in producing a large-scale musical – likely in the Capitol, a small production- likely at St Andrew’s, and possibly a comedy – likely in the Cultural Centre.
- Interested parties should submit a 1 to 2 page proposal to theatrekentsubmissions@gmail.com by the end of day on Sunday, November 30, with the following details:
Basic Information

A brief outline of any previous experience with TK
Show Information
- Title of Property
- Playwright and/or composer
- Approximate running time
- Cast size and gender breakdown
- Synopsis
Directorial Vision
- Why this play? Why do you believe it fits TK and will resonate with our audience?
- Your concept or interpretation of the show
- The tone and visual style
- Any themes or messages you want to highlight
Production Considerations
- Set design approach (complexity, number of locations, moving pieces, etc.)
- Costuming and props overview
- Lighting and sound requirements
- Are there any special effects or technical considerations?
Team and Experience
- Brief resume or bio with any notable directing or theatre experience
- Preferred production team members (please engage with parties before including their names) – TK can provide a producer (or help your chosen producer) that will help fill unfilled roles
- Preferred production slot
- Any schedule conflicts or availability constraints
