Are you interested in directing a virtual, on-line show with Theatre Kent? We are looking for creative, talented and experienced directors who are interested in creating theatrical magic for our valued Theatre Kent community who miss live theatre.
The board hopes to confirm one or two shows by January 2021. Virtual shows will likely be performed in Spring, 2021. The exact timing of submissions and acceptance will be determined based on board approval and potential director preference and availability.

How Play Submissions Are Evaluated
Once the deadline for submissions has passed, an evaluation team is formed from the Theatre Kent Board of Directors. The team reviews all submissions received, which includes reading the play scripts. Other selection criteria may also be considered, such as artistic merit, suitability of the material, director’s experience, etc. Once this phase is complete, the panel then comes together to discuss the submissions. They will then short-list the submissions (if necessary) and vote on the options. When this is complete, a member of the team will contact all those who submitted entries with the panel’s decision. Please be patient with this process. We will contact you in due course.
