“You Can’t Take It With You”
Director Tony Erdelyi is still looking to fill two more female roles, one lead and one supporting character, both between the ages of 20 and 35.
First role: Alice Sycamore, the third largest role in the show. She and Tony are the center of this entire story. It will require some experience to fill this role, Alice’s emotional levels tend to fluctuate a lot throughout. She will be required to be at most rehearsals.
Second role: Essie Carmichael, a supporting role, but an important role, there is less speaking than the role of Alice, but the role will require some physical activity. This actor won’t need to know how to dance, since the character can’t actually dance very well, but will regardless be required to do some bad dancing. Although it’s a smaller role than Alice, Essie Carmichael is a constant presence In the show, so the actor will be required for most rehearsals.
Rehearsals run Sunday afternoon and Monday and Wednesday evenings at Fellowship Hall (St. Andrew’s United Church) in Chatham. Performing May 12-13, 2023
